Frank Shofner is a keyboardist, horn and string arranger, and executive producer who does awesome remakes of his favorite pop hits. Originally from Texas, Frank relocated to Southern California out of college, where he got work scoring radio hits for society bandleaders Horace Heidt Jr. and Clark Keene. As a keyboardist, he joined several bands before deciding to form his own label in 2006, ReHitz Records. The first EP, ReHitz Vol. 1, included “Self Control,” “Dreams,” and “Ladies Nite.” Frank released a cover of the Hall & Oates hit “I Can’t Go For That,” and working with promoter Tom Mazetta, the track got to number 8 on the FMQB Hot AC chart in Feb. 2007. The track featured the vocals of indie rocker Samantha Newark and remixes from Giuseppe D and Scotty Boy. On “New Moon,” Frank worked with Anthony Resta, a major producer who has worked with Duran Duran, Elton John, and many other platinum acts. Anthony brought in one of his favorite vocalists, who must remain unknown behind the alias of “Ceyanna Blu” for now due to contractual issues.
