Statik exists in all areas of our lives. Statik (static) electricity refers to the buildup of electric charge on the surface of objects. Stereo Statik believes that electric charge builds up in the mind, body, and soul when listening to an electrified dance track. The charge ignites the body to move on the dance floor.

Imagine a world without stereo – dull and flat. Stereo brings life and energy to audio. Statik is that electric charge that electrifies the mind and the body to the music. Combining both the energy and electric charge to create great music for the listener was the motivation behind the creation of Stereo Statik.

Stereo Statik is the vision of a long time dance music fanatic and DJ with a formal education in Music Business. Started in 2010, the focus has been on spending more time on developing the artist and building marketable talent. With a myriad of artists releasing music in today’s world, the focus is getting lost on the quality of music, with so much focus being set on quantity. Stereo Statik hopes to bring about change to the market with taking the time to build an artist from the ground up.

Stian A. Mikkelsen aka SoundSAM is a Norwegian Producer/DJ with a vast variety of sound, but still with it’s own unique character. Born 1979 and producing since 1996, Stian has grown lot of experience with the development of gear and music through history, as they go together hand in hand and has dominated the timeline. Facinated by outerspace and inspired by the deep soul he always seek answers through the universal language of music, with no borders or boundries. Everything from chillout, electronica, electro pop, deep house, house, nu-disco and robopunk is everyday menu in the studio. Several times he has been charted among the top 20 on beatport, as with his tracks “Lovers Crew” and “Know Your Mushrooms”. He release primarily through his own label Phat Fuel Records, and has been remixing names like Røyksopp, Triangle Sun, Kolokol Production, and also constructed a bootleg remix of the classic “My Beat” by Blaze, which can be freely downloaded on the website (www.soundsam.no. Stian is constantly producing, even in his sleeping state. Often he dream phat beats and purposly wake himself up, as he is aware that he is dreaming, and recreate the music in his dreams. Watch out for this guy, as he will bombard you with phat fueled releases in 2012 and the years to come. True love doesn’t come cheap!

Dusted Breaks

Dusted Breaks was born in Portsmouth in early 2002, when Lee Martin & John Lewis came up with a cunning plan to flood a predominantly hard dance city with a much needed injection of flavour, in the form of Breakbeat! Dusted Breaks started off in small clubs in and around Portsmouth very quickly upgraded their venue to the unique South Parade Pier. Whilst holding breaks parties in this unique venue in the sea, they brought such amazing guests along never before seen anywhere near Portsmouth, such Lee Coombs Records, Lot49 Top dog Meat Katie, and (then just ripe on the scene) DJ Hyper from Kilowatt Recordings for his Wired album tour. Having such major names down to party with us was always gonna blow some brains out, and nobody let us down. Early 2009 they made the transition from club night to record label, and Dusted Breaks Records was born. Having 11 releases under their belt by September of that year, they were getting major support across the international breaks scene, and have seen some impressive reviews in Mixmag, DJ and iDJ to name a few. Dusted Breaks have brought us some firing tracks from names like IITone, Ways & Means, BreakzHead, Mobius, Paul Lyman and seen remixes from the likes of Mr No Hands, Ben & Lex, Eshericks, Quadrat Beat, Cut La Roc, Andrea Lai, 10Rapid to name but a few and Elite Force saw it right to do his own re-edit of Break Through by Paul Lyman and took it on his Australian tour, and also commissioned this work for a forthcoming release on Dusted Breaks. Their artist roster sees names from all over the globe – Russia, Italy, Latvia ,UK, US and many more. They also hold a residency on the mighty iBreaks Radio where they host a twice monthly session showcasing new stuff. The Dusted Breaks style has no bounds, and the vetting process for tunes is of a very high standard indeed. 2009 was an amazing debut year for Dusted Breaks and all the hard work paid off for them in February of 2010 when they were nominated, and crowned winners of the ‘Best New Label’ award at the international Breakbeat awards ‘Breakspoll’

Future Tone Recordings was founded in 2011 by producer Mr.Slate aka Corey Slater as a vehicle to market and distribute his own music to the masses.
